Co-Parenting
Echos of Fire
On this page you will find everything about co-parenthood at Echos of Fire.
Almost every litter contains a promising puppy that you would like to keep as a breeder. Unfortunately, we cannot always keep a puppy from every litter. We consciously choose to keep the number within our kennel low. These choices give all our dogs the right amount of attention and do not create stress in the kennel. After all, we want to make life with our dogs as fun as possible! For us the rule is also aonce a dog is in our house, he/she will stay with us until his/her death. We are not breeders who relocate our older animals.
To ensure that we can continue to maintain this beautiful breed, we occasionally need help in the form of a co-parent. We are therefore looking for a co-parent for these promising puppies from the nests who wants to work with us towards the future of this breed.
What does it mean?
If in the future we have a litter of puppies that contain a promising puppy, we would place them for free with reliable people under certain conditions. We will then retain the right to breed with this dog and we will also bear the costs for this. The dog is also entirely yours, you bear the burden of food, dog tax and any vet costs and have the pleasure of the little puppy at home. Costs related to breeding, such as health testing, are borne by the kennel.
We would of course like to show this promising puppy to the world, which is why we would like to go to shows with this puppy. The co parent may do this or leave the co parent to the kennel. We always discuss this as best as possible in advance what your wishes are.
When a future owner is open to co-parenthood, he must take regular contact into account. After all, the puppy will occasionally go on show trips at home and abroad and will be used for breeding in the future. In order to release the last stress, a bond will have to develop between me as a breeder and the dog.
If you are interested and would like to help our breed, please send a message and we will be happy to welcome you to our home for an introduction.
