A small dog with a big character, you can find it at Echos of Fire! Our goal is to breed happy and well-socialized Miniature Pinschers.
We are a small-scale one Miniature pinscher kennel with a passion for breeding and presenting healthy and social Miniature pinschers. Our working method as experienced Miniature pinscher fokker allows us to give every dog the attention and care he or she deserves.
Because we consciously work on a small scale, we can be our adults Dwarf pinschers and optimally guide their puppies. Our dogs grow up in a home environment and are fully integrated into our daily lives. They also regularly enjoy the outdoors, such as walks in the woods around our hometown and adventures in the mountains during holidays.
About us
My name is Gijs de Waard, and together with my husband Michael Feij I am the proud owner of it Dwarf pinscher kennel Echos of Fire. We breed as a hobby Dwarf pinschers according to the breed standard of the FCI and the guidelines of the Association of Breeders and Lovers of Smooth-Haired Dwarf pinschers and related breeds.
Our kennel is located in the wooded Soesterberg (Netherlands), a beautiful location for growing up and training our dogs. We present our Miniature pinschers proud of shows in the Netherlands and abroad. Traveling for shows we find a great opportunity to promote our breed and share experiences with other enthusiasts.
My love for the Miniature pinscher started 25 years ago, when my parents brought this unique breed into their home. The power and passion of the Miniature pinscher have always made a deep impression on me. In 2018, my husband and I bought our first male, which started our journey in the show world. We have now learned a lot about this special breed thanks to our experiences and contacts, including my mentor Bianca Smits from Pinscher Kennel Rostelley's Angels.
At Echoes of Fire we strive for healthy, social and purebred Dwarf pinschers, with which we like to share our passion for this beautiful breed.
Meet our dogs
We currently have five dogs within our kennel. Four of them proudly participate in national and international dog shows. Our fifth dog, Beer, is the mascot of our kennel and plays a special role: he is the dog with which our passion for this beautiful breed once began.
Beer
Our first male is Rostelley's Angels Driven by Love, call sign Beer. Thanks to Bianca Smits (Kennel Rostelley's Angels), we have been the proud owner of this special dog for years. Already as a puppy, Beer had a clear opinion of his own and has now grown into a stable, vigilant and reliable male.

Dax
Our second male is Aurra Sing Meet Rostelleys New Dream, nickname Dax. Originally imported to reinforce the kennel Rostelley's Angels, he is additionally – if everything continues to go as hoped, an important pillar for starting up the family tree of Echos or Fire.

In 2024 we were introduced to Aurra Sing This Is The Way of Fire, the bitch we wanted to start our kennel with. Unfortunately this was not to be the case, but we enjoy her every day and she remains the pride of the kennel. Her character steals the show and with multiple group wins, titles and a reserve Best in Show, her career is not over!
